Please note that we constantly have strays and impounds arriving at the shelter. The animals are considered "Lost" and we hold them for six days, then they become available for adoption.

Found:  Adult male Australian cattle dog.  Red/White. Found on CR 504.  Please call 259-2847 for more information.
 
Found:  Adult female Siberian Husky.  Brown/White.  35000 Blk HWY 160.  Please call 259-2847 for more information.
 
Found:  Adult male chocolate lab.  22000 blk HWY 160.  Please call 259-2847 for more information.
 
Found:  Adult female shepherd mix.  Black/Tan.  100 blk Alamo Drive.  Please call 259-2847 for more information.

Found:  Adult neutered male Australian Shepherd.  Blue eyes.  Wearing a red nylon collar.  Found on 3/12 on HWY 160.  Please call 259-2847 for more information. 

 
Found:  Male lab puppy. Found on 3/12 on Arroyo Drive.  Please call 259-2847 for more information. 
 
Found:  Adult female terrier mix. Black/White. Wearing white collar.  Found 3/12 between Ignacio and Aztec. Please call 259-2847 for more information.

Observed an Animal at Large?

What does the term "Animal at large" mean?   These are cats or dogs running loose around in the city or county. You can report DOGS running at large to the Central Dispatch at 385-2900 and Animal Protection will pick them up. Animal Protection will not pick up cats. If you find a stray cat, please bring it to the shelter.
